February 21, 2019 George was a true gentleman. Have known George since the 80s and he was a friend and a great guy. He helped me when coach Calipari went to Memphis. CANDLE February 15, 2019 George was a longtime and loyal friend to Elvis who passed his wonderful memories on to all of us who loved Elvis. Since our trips to Graceland beginning in '78, we always enjoyed his events at Memphis State. He will be truly missed and Memphis will never be the same without him. I listened to his show all the time on Elvis radio and was privileged to get to meet him some years ago at the studios at Graceland. He was a true friend to Elvis and always lifted him up in his radio broadcasts. My condolences to the family, as George will truly be missed by all who knew him and listened to his show.
