STEVENSON, James Alan (Jim) James Alan (Jim) Stevenson, 75 of Plano, Texas, died peacefully at home on August 14 after a long and courageous battle with advanced vascular dementia. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Cile and Warren Stevenson; brother, Warren (Steve) Stevenson, Jr.; and daughter, Julie Stevenson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Becki Stevenson; 3 cousins, Rev. Roy Nash, William Stevenson, and Ellen Hebert; brother-in-law, Dr. James Mathis; and numerous nieces and nephews. An Air Force veteran, retired banker, longtime member of Gideons International, and deacon at First Baptist Church-Dallas, Jim also enjoyed golf, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 11:00 AM in Truett Chapel at First Baptist Church-Dallas. Complimentary valet parking (San Jacinto between Ervay and St. Paul) and a meal after the service in the Atrium of the church will be provided for all attendees. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Gideons International (gideons.org) or First Baptist Church-Dallas (firstdallas.org).
