RUBIN, Julie Holland Julia Holland Rubin died unexpectedly at the age of 58 on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Plano, TX. Julie (Jules) was born on April 29, 1962 in Encino, California to David and Marcella Holland. A graduate of Plano Senior High School in 1980, Julie earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. She held many top-level executive positions in the insurance and aviation industries. In 1989, Julie married Alan Rubin and they raised two children Alex and Kathleen Rubin. Together, they owned Lane and McClain Distributors, a commercial restaurant equipment company in Dallas, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Marcella Holland, half-brother Davy Holland and brother-in-law Bob Hurtte. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Alan Rubin, her children, Alex, a NASA Engineer and Kathleen, who just finished her MS in Child Life; Siblings and their spouses: Michael and Barbara, Mark, Mary Holland and Dan Vermillion, Matthew and Gail, Martin and Julie, and John; Mother-in-law Bobbe Rubin; Brother-in-law Michael and wife Bonnie Baker; sister-in-law Frances Rubin; and nieces and nephews Christine Drucker and husband Luke, Ryan Holland and wife Amanda, Haley Hanson, Nathan Holland, Mason Hurtte and wife Heather Henry, Jessica and Spencer Holland. Julie was the most generous, loving and vivacious woman embraced by many friends and family who loved her and will miss her dearly. The service will be held at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 N. Central Expressway, Allen, Texas 75013 on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10 am with graveside burial immediately following the memorial service.
