I went to grade school and high school with Melissa and knew her parents and Marilyn. We were in a carpool together. I saw her last at our 50th reunion. She was dear and fun and will be missed. Many prayers for all of you who are missing her so, especially you Amelia. Love, Barbara Eaton Narayan

I knew that Melissa was ill, but her death has come as a surprise to all of her Ursuline classmates. I called her periodically to give her the latest news of our class. She was always in good spirits and so happy to chat.

In January of 2008, five members of our class attended a 45th reunion function at Ursuline. We lamented that so few had come. Melissa said, "Girls, let's do lunch." Within a couple of weeks, we met again and began to search for long-lost classmates. Melissa was the spark that ignited the fire that got us all reconnected. And, how grateful we are!

Rest in peace, Melissa.

Sending my love to all the Starr family, and remembering Melissa. I met Melissa in first grade, and then we attended Ursuline Academy of Dallas High School together until our graduation in 1963. I knew Melissa for 67 years, and we had many good times together during our school days.
