DEEVERS, Patricia Ann Patricia Ann Deevers died peacefully at home in Dallas, Texas on February 3, 2021. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, September 21, 1937, Patricia was the daughter of Wilma Butler and Murray Deevers, the granddaughter of Byron Scott Butler. The family lived in Japan during the Korean War where Pat's father died in an airplane crash. Upon their return to the States, Wilma and Eileen Butler, Pat's Mother and Aunt bought a house in University Park for the three of them. Pat attended Highland Park High School and graduated from Texas Womens' University. She kept a daily journal of her entire life. She was fascinated by all animals and left adorable titles for animal stories. Pat was a long-time member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church where she had many friends. She was a friendly neighbor to the people and animals on her street and along her weekly walk to Tom Thumb. Pat is survived by her beloved cat, Maggie, Anne Norfleet and Robert Bailey, Cathy and John Bailey and Shawn and Walter Bailey of New York City. Also surviving are cousins in St. Louis and Mississippi. A Family Memorial will be held on Friday, February 19 at Sparkman-Hillcrest.
