I was employed by UTSW for 44 years and I wish I could remember how Bob and I came to interact on a random basis. Just seeing his name in the obituary brought back a smile to my face remembering the brief hallway conversations that we had because they were always light hearted and enlightening. We had no "official" interactions but it was always a pleasure to run across him in a random hallway. There are hundreds of people that I fondly remember from my time at work and Bob was truly one of my favorites. I'm so glad to be able to add to remembrances of friends and relatives to add honor to his life...a life well lived!!

Bob and Louise were two of my parents' closest friends and favorite people from the 60's forward. That generation referred to them as "the salt of the earth." Truly, they were two of God's finest. Earth's loss is heaven's gain. Bob was kind, quiet, generous, helpful, and as solid as a rock. He will be greatly missed by those he so consistently and lovingly befriended. He was definitely a friend of God.
Blessings,
