NANCE, Thomas Thomas William Nance, Jr. passed away on March 1, 2019 after an extensive battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas William Nance, Sr. and Dell Nance; and his wife, Patti Nance. Known as "Tommy" to his family and "Tom" to everyone else, he was born on September 15, 1945 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Dallas schools and graduated in 1963 from North Dallas High School, where he played on the football team. After high school, Tommy attended North Texas State University and majored in business. He worked his way through school working on the docks at East Texas Motor Freight and received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in marketing from NTSU. Upon completion of his college degree, Tommy began his career in the world of business and worked for several companies in the sales departments. Before his retirement, he served as National Account Manager for his company Household Essentials. Tommy was such an avid golfer that he even bought his home in a golf course community. He belonged to the Oak Hill Country Club and golfed as often as possible. He also enjoyed hosting parties at his home for friends and family. He especially enjoyed having his family at his home for Christmas which was a huge celebration for him. Tommy is survived by his sister, Patricia Flores and husband, Larry Flores; his brothers, Donald Nance, and Robert Nance and his wife, Heather Goodstein Nance; his nieces, Katherine Flores, Rebecca Nance and Emma Nance; his nephews, Jonathan Nance and Philip Flores. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.

My deepest condolences to the Nance family. I had the pleasure of working with Tom from 1994 until he retired. His wisdom and wit was never ending. He was missed after retiring and will be missed now forever.
