My sincere sympathy to Phyllis and family. Dave directed the choir at Hope Lutheran Church, the church where I grew up and also sang in his choir during the 60's. Just this past February, I had the gift of visiting with Dave when he and Phyllis attended the voice/piano program I gave at Bethany Village's Linden House. We enjoyed a lovely conversation, and I remarked on his sense of humor. The Conrads were music mentors and role models in my high school years and beyond. I am deeply grateful for their encouraging me to pursue music education as a life-long career. (I recently retired from the University of Dayton, and am a member of the Delta Omicron Alumni Chapter with Phyllis.) I know that heaven's angels have gained a new choir member and director.

I am saddened to learn that Davis passed away. He was a wonderful person and I will remember him fondly because of our friendship at Capital University.
