You will be missed
February 25, 2018
Prayers for the family. Mrs. Rowe believed in me and gave me my first opportunity to work with children back in 1992 with Dayton Public School Preschool. Because of her love and dedication I continued with my higher educatiion in Early Childhood. She had no idea how many lives she touched, including mine. I am glad I got a chance to visit her and thank her for being an AMAZING mentor. RIP you will be missed.

Let me start by giving my highest most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Gail Rowe. What an honor it was to know such a nice, kind and outstanding lady. She was one of my favorite co workers of all times because to know her was to love her. I'm Mark E. Brown, Sr. (49), a former co-worker at the Highrise Afterschool Daycare Program. For those of you who were graced by Mrs. Rowe's "presence", she was just one of those nice older ladies that you just took to immediately. A mother figure who was so cool, so real, so down to earth and so laid back, but yet so graceful with every step she took. Just an overall pure delight to have around everyday. Never had a bad day as I can remember and always just the kindest person that would put a smile on a total stranger's face. Give you the shirt off her back. You might've been having a bad to mediocre day but after encountering Mrs. Rowe, she made you forget you ever had a problem. Always smiling herself, always a bright ray of light, always had an arsenal of healing words and always "a smorgasboard of motivation and positivity". When you need somebody cool to talk to who was "understanding of your situation", Mrs. Rowe was my pick for President. Need a great sounding board? Mrs. Rowe was your unanimous pick. When you need somebody to "tell it like it is, like it was and like it should be", Mrs. Rowe tag you're it. I know within my heart that there are just so many kids all over this city who have benefited from "the Mrs. Rowe touch" who will miss her earthly presence. When I finally leave this world, I can only hope that I'm as great an inspirational role model as Mrs. Rowe has been. Exceptional with kids, very much who I want to be like when I get to that age. The world definitely lost a big kid influence but at the same time we have to always remember that she was very much "a soldier in the army of the Lord". Thanks from the bottom of my heart for being who you were to us Mrs. Rowe. We will never forget you and I just wanna say, "We love you! Rest in eternal peace and don't dance too hard on them streets of gold young lady".
