I was another of Mrs. Pival's "Cassidy kids", and she was my family's back-door neighbor for many years, as well as my academic advisor at UK.

The Pivals touched my life in so many wonderful ways, as Joseph Pival taught me to play the violin when I was in fourth grade at Cassidy, and was our orchestra director there as well as at Morton several years later.

So many memories of these wonderful teachers, neighbors, and friends. My life would have been far poorer without their enduring presence in it.

Jean Pival was our dear friend at Oakwood Village She shared with us her love of music, her accomplishments over her lifetime and so loved attending the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. May she now be at peace.

Mrs. Pival was one of my favorite teachers when I attended UK. She was an excellent and caring teacher. Rest in peace. John Hughel

Jean took me to the Chamber Music Societys recitals on Sunday afternoons during the last two or three years she lived in Lexington. We got tickets together for the Lexington Philharmonic season. I would drive & she would treat us to dinner at the UK Faculty Club. I first met her at investment club & we shared that interest, too. She was a very smart, accomplished, & gentle woman! Im so glad I got to know her & spend time with her.
