I didn't see this until now while net surfing as I sat in a bar in Lima, Ohio. The last time I was in Lima was the fall of 1980 when I thumbed from Kent State University with my roommate, Joe Benvenuto. The purpose of the trip was to see Joe's son, Scott, who had just been born. It hadn't occurred to me that college freshmen could become parents. The baby was beautiful. Joe was awed. I am so sorry to read of Joe's passing. He was a really good man.

Joe was one of my closest friends ever while he lived in Indianapolis and as we shared our love of glass working. Such a compassionate and very creative man taken too early from us in this life!!!

Joe was one of my best friends ever while he lived in Indianapolis. His means of living and his overwhelming compassion to all he came in contact with was a true joy to behold. Such a creative and caring individual, I have probably never met. My condolences to his family and all of those who were touched by this amazing being in his much too short life among us. Love you, forever, Joe, and may you eternally rest in peace, as you so deserve!!!

My condolences goes out to the family during this difficult time. May you find a measure of comfort found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will all see our loved ones again.
