My earliest memories of my Aunt Lucile was out on my grandmothers farm, I was maybe ten. She took the time to work with me on some math problems from school, she made it fun and I remember her for that. She seemed to have a camera in her hand a lot she must have had a sense that recording the present would be important to us in the future. She was always the go to person for any questions on family history, marriages, births, deaths etc. She made our beautiful wedding cake for Viola and I 48 years ago, we never forgot her kindness to us. She was family centered always asking how we were doing out here in Washington, our children and their families, and of our grandchildren.
She was always interested in all that. I will miss hearing her ask about these things and the sound of her voice. We are glad we stopped in to see her, Jeanny and Waynett last September, it was clear she loved her children so.
I could go on but I will just add that she was one tough lady no matter what life threw at her she dealt with it best she could. We will miss her.
