Steve

I'm visiting Barb in McKinney TX for Thanksgiving and just found out about Phil. Please accept my condolences in your loss. This is so sad--he was always such a quiet and gentle person. I remember the last time I spoke with him he was doing some fertilizing and plant care at the house before we sold it. He was very thoughtful about what was needed and explained how he was going to accomplish the task. He was so kind. My sympathies.

I've completely lost touch with you and with Oxford. Actually the Oxford I saw in 2014 when I passed through has lost touch with me and is quite different from the Oxford we grew up in. I'm glad we were young then--living there today would be a quite different, diminished experience.

This is Barb's account, I don't have one. If you'd like to be in touch I'll give you an email address: [email protected]
and we can exchange info privately.

Otherwise I hope life is going well for you and your family. Happy Holidays.

Charlie

Uncle Phil, I will never forget your kind, gentle, authentic soul. I will never forget how you never forgot about me -- on birthdays and holidays you always gave such thoughtful gifts. I never got to tell you how much that meant to me and I regret that so much. I will remember your voice and your beard, every feature of your face, your quiet strength and contemplative nature. I will remember how you tended to your plants, and found comfort in them. I pray that your beautiful soul is at peace and with the Lord, that their are gardens in heaven which you can tend and take pleasure in forever. I just love you and miss you so much. I will remember you Phil. Love always, Seth
