HITTNER, H. Robert, M.D., F.A.C.R. "Bob" Age 90 of Butler Township, died Friday, April 6, 2018. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years Zoe (Wertz), daughter Amy (Mike) Zebney of Butler Twp., son David (Tonya) Hittner of Butler Twp., 4 grandchildren Alexander and Nathaniel Hittner, Bobby and Allison Zebney, his younger sister Joyce (Harold) Godeke, brother-in-law Charlie East, and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Esther Hittner, older sister Helen East, and best friend Dr. Jerry Hammon. Bob was a graduate of the Indiana University Medical School. After a term in the US Army, he joined a General Practice in West Milton with Dr. Hammon. He then specialized and joined Medical Radiologists, Inc. and was staff Radiologist at Good Samaritan Hospital from 1964 to 1989. He was elected Chief of Staff at Good Samaritan Hospital from 1980 to 1982. Bob was an active member of Shiloh Church, Miami Valley Golf Club, Aullwood Audubon Society, and Dayton Center Courts. He was a Past President of the Vandalia-Butler Foundation. He was passionate about Philanthropy and loved nature, as well as tennis, golf, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Memorial services 12 noon Saturday, April 21st at Shiloh Church 5300 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Pastor Jay McMillen. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shiloh Church, Aullwood, or a charity of your choice in Bob's memory. Truly sad to hear this news. Dr Hittner delivered my son at Stouder Hospital in 1960. My Aunt was he & Dr Hammons office nurse. Last time I saw them both was at her funeral in West Milton. You never forget the Dr that delivered your babies.
