STRAMARA, Somwang "Andy" Age 65, passed away on March 9, 2018 at home in the loving presence of her family. She was born on January 1, 1953 in Thailand. She is the loving wife of Thomas Stramara, retired Air Force, whom she married in 1979 and mother to their son, Adam Stramara. She received numerous awards for countless hours she spent volunteering for the Air Force and even accepted a flight aboard Air Force One. Her friendly outgoing personality, generosity and positive attitude made her an inspiration to each person she met. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew. Andy enjoyed spending time with her husband shopping for bargains to give to her friends and even strangers. She also enjoyed cooking at home, dining at local restaurants and watching The Food Network. She loved and advocated for animals, especially her "grand" cats. Andy looked forward to her visits each day from the staff at Vitas Healthcare whom she referred to as her family. She will be greatly missed by the staff at Wright Patterson Medical Center, who for the last 3 years provided exceptional personalized care. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Stramara; Son, Adam Stramara; Brother-in-law, Peter Stramara (Michelle) of Bayside, New York; Sister-in-law Sue Stramara of Long Island, New York; Sister-in-law Ellen Lynch (John) of Long Island, New York. Nephews Gregg and Ryan of New York. Other relatives and friends in New York and Ohio. Arrangements by Glickler Funeral home, 1849 Salem Ave, Dayton Ohio, 45406. Interment and graveside services will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery on March 16, 2018 at 1:30 PM. A celebration of her life is planned for April.
