SHIELDS, Jr., William Vincent 59, of Springfield, passed away April 8, 2018 in his residence. He was born October 4, 1958 in Springfield, the son of William Vincent and Helen (Roberts) Shields Sr. Mr. Shields attended the Hillside Avenue Church of God. He enjoyed all kinds of sporting events especially the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren. He had been employed at Honda. Survivors include his mother; Helen Shields, three children; Angela Hess, Michael Shields and Katie Shields, four grandchildren; Brooklyn Ehling, Alexis Merriman, Kaylee Hess and Gracie Hess, one brother; John F. Shields, one sister; Robin (Blaine) Carter and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, April 21, in the Hillside Avenue Church of God with Pastor Larry Cook officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www. jkzfh.com
