PELFREY, Ruth E. Age 80, of Germantown, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 3, 2018. She was born in German Township on January 28, 1938, to the late Zelma (Sixt) and Arthur B. Gilbert. She was a life member of Emmanuel's Lutheran Church; a 50+ year member of Farmersville Chapter #155 ~ O. E. S and a member of Germantown Sr. Citizens. In her early years, Ruth worked for Middletown First National Bank; and retired from Valley View School Systems after more than 24 years of service as a bus driver. She loved family vacations, her vintage collections and enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother James Gilbert. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jimmie Pelfrey; her sons, Scott Pelfrey, Mark (Heidi) Pelfrey and Brian Pelfrey; 6 grandchildren, Cody, Sarah, Hannah, Grace, Samuel and Simon; her brother Donald (Joyce) Gilbert; and her sister-in-law, Linda Gilbert. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. (Eastern Star Service 7:45 p.m.) Wednesday February 7, 2018, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Rich Luh officiating. Burial will be at Germantown Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel's Lutheran Church. Please share condolences at daltonfh.net
