Sherman PEPPER Obituary

PEPPER Jr., Sherman Leroy Age 98 of Dayton, Ohio, departed this life on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born October 11, 1920 in Wartrace, TN to the late Sherman L. Pepper, Sr. and Lillian Crockett-Pepper. Sherman was also preceded in death by (1) brother, JW Cleveland; (2) sisters, Ruth Hines and Susan Curtis; son-in-law, Fred Turner, Sr. Sherman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verneverness Pepper; (1) daughter, Betty Turner; (3) granddaughters, Kendel Thomas, Angelia Turner and Patricia Thompson; (2) grandsons, Anthony and Frederick Turner, Jr.; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., FRIDAY, January 19, 2018 at TRUE CHRISTIAN MBC, 3401 Hoover Ave., with Rev. John Williams, Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com
