RIP. An extraordinary man. My condolences.

Was very sad to hear that Bill has passed. I admired him for his knowledge and skill as a fire administrator and city manager. I was glad to be part of the legacy of the Fire College that he started and we have continued it over the years. He has so many accomplishments as a Firefighter/Officer/Chief that it would be silly to try to list them all but simply say the Chief Casey was a hell of a change agent for the department and city. People like Bill will be missed for his character and dedication to the vocation which he loved. Thanks for your help and guidnace Bill, you will be missed.

I would like to send my prayers and condolences to your family. I only heard of Bill's passing today. I believe I am a second cousin to Bill, as his father, John and my grandmother, Helen Casey Petoos, were brother and sister. When visiting, I would often see him and his wife at St. Raphael's at Mass. What a wonderfully gifted and accomplished firefighter and chief he was! May he and his family be at peace.
