Heaven gained an amazing angel in Ms. Evelyn. She was a classy lady and very driven. She always lead by example and inspired others to do the same. I had the pleasure of working with her at Hercules and then AET for many years up to her retirement. I too remember her catered luncheons and cheese cakes. They were legendary.
God bless you Ms. Evelyn. You will be dearly missed.

Evelyn was a one-of-a-kind, vivacious, real-life Superwoman! I had the great fortune of meeting Evelyn in the mid-1980s as a shy teenager, just starting my career. She was a wonderful mentor, role model, and friend to me and countless others. She was the first one in the office every morning, the last to leave at night, and a power-house-in-heels all day, every day. She didn't tolerate unacceptable behavior and wanted things done the right way (she would call you out if your efforts fell short), but Evelyn was also very compassionate, kind, and wouldn't ask anyone to do anything she wouldn't or hadn't done herself. She had a cheeky sense of humor that often took me by surprise but continues to make me smile three decades later. This remarkable woman would cater full lunches for our entire company (100+ employees), including those delicious cheesecakes! So many wonderful memories are coming back to me today her flair for fashion, her love of brooches, her beautiful roses, her infectious laugh. Evelyn once told me about her first date with Lou. She said that Lou was waiting for her on the street with some of his friends. As she came into view, wearing a green dress (and looking stunningly beautiful, no doubt), Lou told his friends this was his date. They didn't believe him! He must have been so proud when she waltzed up to him and they left for their evening together. I'd like to imagine their reunion in Heaven went the same way. Evelyn, you will be forever admired, forever missed, and forever loved.

With sincerest condolences, Erica Lindsey, Delaware City, Delaware
