Frances "Fran" Mary (Krolicki) Wisniewski
Wilmington - Frances M. Wisniewski (Babci), age 90 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 12, 2017 with her family by her side.
Frances was born in Wilmington on December 4, 1927 to Veronica (Vera) and Edward Krolicki and grew up in Browntown. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1945 and entered the business world working for the Old Age Welfare Agency. She married William J. Wisniewski in 1949 and together they raised five children.
Frances was an energetic homemaker, gifted seamstress and talented baker. She worked part-time for Doctors' Booking Association and worked for more than 25 years as an administrative assistant with the accounting firm, Rose and Kupferman.
Frances enjoyed bowling at Prices Lane with the Claymore Senior Center team. She was a dedicated member of St. Hedwig Church and the Holy Rosary Sodality.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Wisniewski who died in March 2017, her son, William J. Wisniewski, Jr., her sister, Sr. Irene Krolicki, OSF (Sr. Edward Marie) and her brother, Edward Krolicki.
Frances is survived by sons, Michael E. (Gail) Wisniewski, PhD of Cary, NC, Paul F. (Karen) Wisniewski of Newark, DE, daughters, Judith (Gary) Charles of Wilmington and Mary Wisniewski of Bear, grandchildren Michael Jr., Matthew and Charles and great-grandchildren Felicia, Kayla and Charles III. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the doctors, nurses and staff of Christiana Hospital Emergency Department, the Neurocritical Care Unit and Seasons Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison St. in Wilmington on Wednesday, December 27 at 11:00 with visitation at the church at 10:00. Burial service will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Assisi House, 600 Red Hill Road, Aston PA 19014 or St. Hedwig Church.
