Fredrick E. Corpening, Sr.
Wilmington - Mr. Corpening died April 25, 2021 at the age of 85 years; beloved husband of Mildred Corpening; father of Fredrick Jr. and Triana Corpening Hayes; son of the late James and Mabel Corpening. He is also survived by sisters Dorothy Kay Corpening, Shirley Mae Horton and Albertine Violet Johnson. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, James Nathaniel Corpening, Jr., Ray Colleston Corpening and Mabel Odessa Crisp.
Mr. Corpening dedicated his life to education of Delaware children as a teacher and assistant principal at Bancroft Jr. High, Baltz Elementary School and Skyline Middle School. He was a member of a Masonic organization, Haynes Park Civic Association, Northwest Civic Association, Ninth Ward Democratic Club, Wilmington Optimist Little League, and Rock Manor Golf Course Board.
Memorial Service 11 AM Friday, May 15, 2021, at Holly Oak Calvary United Methodist Church, 1511 Philadelphia Pike, Wilm, DE 19809.
