Harold Sheets made the world a better place. I got to know Harold when I was first employed at The Jefferson School. Harold was on the board for quite a few years. I found Harold to be a pretty quiet guy, yet friendly and outgoing. I remember one special committee meeting in which each person was asked to introduce him or her self and tell why he/she was there. After identifying himself by name, Harold let us know that he was there because God had called him to be there. And the years continued, I believe I saw continual evidence of Harold being someone who sought God's calling and acted upon it.
I am also a member of The Funsters; we enjoyed seeing Harold and Karen often showing up at a variety of functions, even going so far as traveling to Chesapeake City, MD, to see us and getting a room!
Karen, my heart goes out to you and the family. I was saddened and shocked to hear of Harold's passing and was especially sorry that I was unable to make it to any service to pay my respects.
God bless!
