Kenneth C. Wilson Age 87, formerly of Kennett Square, PA, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday December 13, 2016.
He was born in Cumberland, Maryland January 25, 1929 to the late Edith (Chalmers) and Andrew Wilson.
Beloved father of Susan (Ronald) Duhon, the late Kenneth C. Wilson, Jr. (1985), Timothy (Linda) Wilson, Stephen (Cindy) Wilson, Katherine (Michael) Vicario and Christine (Jeff) Armstrong. Proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 8. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his son and parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Wilson, Jr.
He was a retired Mechanical Engineer, enjoying a rewarding career with DuPont, All American Engineering and Hercules (formerly Allegheny Ballistics).
Ken possessed a warm spirit and a methodical mind. He was an accomplished custom home builder who restored an airplane, a model "T" and a John Deere tractor with precision. He sang in many choirs and also formerly had an apple orchard.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1530 Foulk Rd. Wilmington, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to " Bountiful Blessings" Community Program C/O Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 15 N. Smallwood St., Cumberland, MD 21502 would be appreciated.
