I grew up with Paul in Del City down by the water at the end of Clintion St.! Our recreation was swimming in the Del river, the old C & D, playing sandlot baseball, football and basketball! Paul was labeled "Whale" because he could hold him breath longer than any of the other kids! It wasn't his size as many thought! In 1966 I graduated high school with him, we were team mates in basketball and football! Paul lettered in Baseball, Basketball and football! Paul was famous for being a natural athlete! He was firemen in D/C Station 15, We responded up Clinton Street to many fire & rescue Siren alarms! That is probably where the seeds of being a civil servent, love of people and where his congenial easy going report' made him many friends of other Firemen, Policemen, EMT's, Doctors and Nurses! The natural ability to make folks feel good complimented the 30 years as a NCC ambulance & EMT attendant and a TAXI Cab driver in Wilmington! Paul was a gift when being a "people person" really counted! Those God given qualities was just many of the gifts he gave to us! My condolences to all those he touched and my respects to his family! He will B surely missed! Rest in piece old friend and thanks for our history! You made those days surely special to many!

I've known Paul all my life. We were best friends and neighbors when he lived in Delaware City. So sad to hear of his passing.

I first met Paul when I took my 1st teaching and coaching position in Delaware City. I found him to be a likeable, popular and athletic young man. He was always a lot of fun to be around. He was one of the very first to put Gunning Bedford athletics on 'the map'. Our condolences and sympathies to his family.
God Bless, John and Grace Gosnay
