In addition, he is survived by his sister, Kathy Hrycak, her daughter and son-in-law, Annie and Steve Curtis, their children, Ella and Chase Curtis; his brother, Dominick; his brother and sister-in-law, Louie and Maureen, their children, Gabriella and Louis; several aunts, uncles, cousins. Mark also leaves his beloved fiancée, Donna Kling and her children, Jillian and Zander Kling. Mark was predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Marlene (Goelzhauser) Giansanti.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington on Saturday, February 17 from 9:00-9:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM, followed by entombment in All Saints Cemetery.

Dear Alex, Noah and Claudia, we were so very sorry to hear that you dear dad passed away so suddenly. We know what a devoted dad he was and how much he loved you! He would bring you into Headquarters Hair Salon for haircuts and was a valued client, as well. It was obvious how much he loved his beautiful children. Again, we are sorry for your devastating loss. Our deepest sympathy are with you and your family.

It was a total shock when I heard of Mark's passing. A real nice guy. He will be a missed by many. May he join his parents who I always enjoyed spending time with partially on those Friday family dinners that I was foreign to join and see family love, talk and true enjoyment. Now Mark can join that table his parents have set in haven for family & friends every Friday at dinner time.

Your passion, energy, and humor brought history to life. You never did anything strictly by the book, and you personally ensured that we were prepared for the college transition. Your presence served DMA very well, and schools could use more teachers like you.

Many would agree that Mr. G could be described as the history version of Robin Williams' character in the movie Dead Poets Society'

Mark,

You will never know what a lasting, positive effect you had on your students. That fact is special, but it's a little sad at the same time.
You were more than just a teacher to my daughters; you remained a sounding board, role model, mentor and friend to them.
There is a special place in heaven for teachers like you.
You have earned your wings, Mr. G. Now fly...

Thoughts & prayers are with your family at this time. You were a wonderful teacher and your memory will live on in your students hearts forever. You were an inspiration to so many. It has been a pleasure knowing you, and that you had such a large impact on so many students in so many different areas. Dedication and inspiration like that is so hard to find, and no one can ever fill your shoes. Thankyou for so many good years!
You will be missed Mr. Giansanti.....

We fondly remember Mark from his days as a teacher at DMA...his love of history and enthusiasm for teaching was admirable as was his love and dedication to his family. Very sad to hear of his passing which was unexpected and far too soon.
Condolences to his family.
