Dorothy (Dottie) Eakins
Ocean View - Dorothy (Dottie) Eastham Eakins of Bethany Beach/Ocean View, Delaware, lost her very short battle with cancer on January 13, 2018. Dottie was born July 1, 1948, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Eleanor (Ella) Anna Bohland Eastham, who passed when Dottie was twelve. She was raised by her dad and mom Joe W. and Brigitte Eastham. Dottie was also preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years, William Eakins; father, Joe W. and brother Joe W. Eastham, Jr. Dottie is survived by mom Brigitte; sisters Deborah Eastham Wade (Larry) and Lori Eastham Allen (Philip); brothers, Philipp and Randy (Dale) Eastham, her stepchildren Brad Eakins and Kristen Eakins Reece, and the German family of Gerd and Helga Bohland. Dottie also leaves behind her beloved baby girl Abby the Yorkie, a huge family of nieces, nephews, and innumerable friends all over the world. Dottie was a 1966 graduate from Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX. Very shortly before her death she met and married William (Bill) Massey from Delaware. This world has lost a beautiful soul, but heaven has gained a bright and shining star. Dottie, we love you and miss you so much. There is no scheduled service or memorial in Delaware, but her Texas family will hold a celebration of Dottie's life at a soon to be scheduled date and location.

Dottie, it was my birthday yesterday. For the first time in my entire life, I did not hear your sweet and happy voice wishing me Happy Birthday. Even with all the wonderful well-wishes, it was the worst day ever. I miss you so much. I know you are watching over the rest of us. I love you. Your Sista
