Robert J. Adamovich
AGE: 58 • Wilmington
A gentle soul, Robert Adamovich, 58, of the Pike Creek area in Wilmington, Delaware, died suddenly on Thursday, August 25, 2016. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, he extended his love for all sports and activities to his nephews, his niece and their children. He proudly coached them throughout the years in baseball, basketball, football, and golf. He had been a coach for Midway Little League as well.
A 1976 graduate of St. Mark's High School, Bob earned a teaching certificate from the University of Delaware. He also held a real estate license, and, most currently, worked for Topline Corporation.
His great love was for his family as he acted as a daily mentor in sports and academics.
Uncle Bob, as he was affectionately called, will be greatly missed by all family and friends for his big heart and giving spirit.
He is survived by his sisters, Diane Brown and Debra Bleakney (Glenn); nephews, Adam Brown and Alex Brown (Jaime); niece, Lauren Bleakney; great nephews, Jayden and Luca; and great niece, Brooklyn. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Theresa Adamovich of Newark.
A viewing for family and friends will take place on Friday, September 2 from 9:30-11:00AM, followed by a funeral service at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek. A private interment for family will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

I'll always remember Uncle Bob! He was a funny guy! I will always remember his voice as he said to his sister often, "Come on, Diane!" He probably wouldn't remember me and that's okay. But what I will always remember about him is how much he loved Adam and Alex. He probably never missed one of their games! His life was filled with family which means he, too, was a blessed man! I will be praying for the family, the ones left behind by death, and that God would give you peace as you go on with life without a special guy. Love to you all! Erin (Baird) Blanton
