Heartfelt condolences to the Wetherill family. Colonel Wetherill was a highly respected U.S. Army Medical Service Corps colleague of mine. He was always concerned about the welfare of others, actively seeking ways to improve the lives of those with whom he served. He and I were both graduates of the Army's Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. We were also veterans of the Vietnam War. My book, "A Different Face of War," might be of interest to Roger's survivors as it is the only book ever published that focuses on the role of Medical Service Corps officers in a combat environment, except for the two or three excellent books about the pilots of medical evacuation aircraft. Roger will be greatly missed.
