So sorry to read about the passing of Sel Rose, and my wife Sandi and I send our "prayers for the Peace that Passeth Understanding" to the family and friends he leaves behind.

I met Sel when he was about 80, and we'd "connected" immediately. I was on an assignment for a Client to find and buy "books of AUM" (Assets Under Management), typically from advisors like Sel who were at retirement age. Sel responded to my note. As we became acquainted, he may been of retirement age, but he certainly wasn't of a retirement state of mind.

It was clear to me, as we became better acquainted, that Sel found a vigor in life and living, an inspiration every day, basically someone who could be a role model for any of us who has little interest in quitting work, in retirement. We stayed in touch for a bit, but I'd not been in touch for a couple years, although I'd thought him. What an interesting man.

Our condolences to his family.

We love you Dad and miss you every minute of every day. You are on my shoulder telling me it will be OK. I don't quite believe it yet.

I'm imagining you reunited with mom now (and all of her dogs :).
