Susan Lukosius Obituary

Susan D. Lukosius

AGE: 67 • Hockessin

Susan D. Lukosius, 67 of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016; beloved wife of the late Edward J. Lukosius and loving mother to Stephen Lukosius of Newark, Delaware.

Susan was born in Boston, MA, in 1948 to the late John and Sophie (Young) Cotter. She grew up in Dedham, MA and was a member of the first graduating class of Notre Dame Academy's Hingham location. She went on to attain her Bachelors of Science in nursing from Boston College, graduating in 1970. Susan was a very outgoing and friendly person; able to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone wherever she was. She always put her family first and shared in their interests as a fan of the Red Sox and sports in general. Susan was a kind and warm-hearted person and often said, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

I knew Susan at Saint Edmond's Academy, from 1990-1994 and was overwhelmed by her caring, generous nature. She took charge of the Library volunteers with her "can do" attitude and nurse's efficiency. We lost touch after Stephen moved on, but she lives in my heart.
