I cant believe Antoine is gone! I still remember the first time Judy introduced us 18 years ago. 11 pm in the Terry Center parking lot after we got off our shift at DPC. He liked my new SUV and asked if he could drive it. The next thing I know we are headed to Atlantic City! We had so much fun. Antoine was a wonderful role model for my son and could cut his hair meticulously. He provided him with such wisdom! He will always be remember for his nurturing way. I will miss you dear friend!

Antoine, not only were you a colleague, but a friend as well. With a display of professionalism at all times; you were patient, kind and always helpful to all of the foster youth within our care. The world has surely lost an admired GQ brother, uncle, son, friend. Rest in peace my friend!

There are no words to adequately explain Antoine or the loss he leaves. I could write a novel the size of War and Peace. But I can share a story that I hold dear to my heart. At the time, I had a Sheltie who was 6 years old and I had also bought a Sheltie mix who was just around 1 yr. old. Needless to say, the Sheltie mix (despite his grown appearance) was still all puppy, So he was in a kennel when I was out. One day I came home from work to find the Sheltie mix happily running free. If dogs could have a look on them, this clearly screamed "freedom". I called Antoine and asked if he was at the house, in a one word clipped answer he said "yes". (He knew where I going with this line of questioning.) I, a little sharply, asked "Did you let the dog out of the kennel?". Antoine said (in a voice that was soft, proud and a bit defiant), YES.....IT WASN'T FAIR. That story sums him up in a nutshell for me. Kind. Loving. Just. Mischievous. Loyal. Now there will be no more stories.

I was lucky enough to meet Antoine and to learn from him in 2002. He quickly became a trusted friend and Im thankful for the last fifteen years of friendship whether it was a quick hello text or a great conversation... Antoine was a most kind-hearted, grounded, hilarious (sometimes stubborn ;)) man and he was a fantastic friend. I cant believe last week was our last text .... I offer my sincere condolences to the entire family and all who were lucky enough to know and love him.

Antoine was an incredible human being. I had the privilege of working with him at NET. His heart was soooo big. I envied that of him. His humility was admirable. All of the children he helped so selflessly. I'm not quite sure why God took him? He always seems to take the good ones too soon. I'll never understand. But I do want to thank you for all the wonderful conversations as well as the laughter. I loved changing things around in your office just to get your reaction. You'll truly truly be missed. I know there's no words to take the pain away for your family so I won't even try. I'll just say may God hold them close.

I worked with Antoine, for many, many years, at Terry Center. I'm so sorry about his passing. He was such a nice person and did a great job with the kids at the center. I will always remember his smile, that look he had, no matter how crazy things were at the Center he was calm and in control.
Sincerely,
Liz
