My wife Louise and I first met Wayne back in 2003 right after we bought a home in Bayberry Woods in Bethany Beach. Wayne was so courteous and helpful to us as we started out in our new home. He was a consummate gentleman who always had a smile on his face. He was also a positive force in the community over the years and served as President of our condominium association. In that capacity, Wayne always made himself accessible to everyone in the community. And he knew how to get things done for the betterment of the community. Louise and I will always remember Wayne. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wayne's lovely wife Carlene and his family.

I had Mr. Smith for International Relations at Concord High. It was harder than the International Relations class that I had in college at the 300 level! Mr. Smith had a passion for his profession of teaching. He brought out the best in his students and touched many lives. I ran into him a few times over the years, he always had a smile and a firm handshake. Rest in peace.
