Doc Furguson was one of my Dad's best friends. I had no idea how impressive an athlete he was back in the day and wow Purple Heart too! All I know is Doc and Pat were some of the nicest people I've met, and my parents loved them both, Doc is now up on the Big Green in the sky with my Dad, Bob LeComte. RIP Doc, and love to you Pat and family. Annette Johnson (Netty Lecomte}

My condolences to the Ferguson family. I caddied for Doc in the mid fifties when he won the DuPont C.C. Club Championship. It was a great honor to be followed by hundreds of members during the last match play round. Some 20 years later we were paired together in the Champion of Champions DSGA tournament near Dover. I was finally able to tee it up with him with fond mutual memories.
RIP.
