It's a difficult time for loved ones....may you find solace in just knowing a good man. I met Bill at several USS Beale reunions and swapped sea stories.

I've known Mr. "C" since I am 5. One of the sweetest most generous people I have known. My dad and he would have the annual $1 Army/Navy football game bet. We would walk down the "Avenue" to the store for our Karl Ehmer's goodies.. I went to school with his youngest Carin. He always had the open door policy.. I will miss this man.. ..Hugs to everyone.. Mrs. C, Carin, Billy, Keith, Eric and families.

Mr. Conrad as I always knew him and address him, was a man of honor. His word was his bond and when he told you he would do something, he did it.

I knew Mr. Conrad my entire life, as a small boy going into his shop with my Dad and Grandfather, getting a free slice of German Bologna, still the only type I buy to this day. He was my scoutmaster who taught me so many things that I still use to this very day. He was the father to one of my oldest and best friend, Eric and a grandfather to my son"s friend, Matthew and Heather.

Next to my father and grandfather, he was the most important male role model in my childhood. Mr. Conrad, thank you for all the wonderful things you taught me. God Bless.
