My condolences to the Ruda family. Bev brought me into Girl Scouting as her co-leader when I moved to Lansdowne in 1980. We were co-leaders of Brownie Troop 9 and Junior Troop 514, and they were some of the happiest times of my life. My daughters loved the crafts for which Bev was famous, and in my Christmas ornament box I still have many holiday creations. Who would think to take a Reader's Digest, fold the pages, spray paint them gold, and turn it into an angel? That was the magic that Bev created with the Girl Scouts. She brought love and enthusiasm to scouting. If there are indeed pearly gates, I'm sure Bev is there finding a way to make them more inviting!

I had the pleasure of meeting Beverly back when I worked with the Girl Scouts in Delaware County. She was a beautiful person who gave her all (along with Paul) to make life better for her girl scouts. She served as a leader for over 35 years. Her legacy will continue in the girls she touched and changed. My condolences to her husband Paul and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
