1948-2018 Regina Lee Murphy, 69 of Briarcliffe, Glenolden, PA, died Wednesday January 3, 2018 in her home. Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harrison T. and the late Mary (Dryden) Smith. Mrs. Murphy lived in Glenolden for the past 42 years. She was a longtime member of Briarcliff Swim Club and the 1st Presbyterian Church of Glenolden. Regina loved to shop and make ceramics but most of all she loved being Nana or Nanny to her 4 grandchildren. She was a Special Education Aide, employed by Southeast DELCO School District for 25 years and formerly worked for Chester City. Survived by her husband: James R Murphy. two daughters: Aimee L. Mitchell and Lori A. Williams. Sister: Dawn M. Troutt. Grandchildren: Mikayla Mitchell, Juliana Mitchell, Noah Williams and Cameron Williams. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden Friends may call Thursday from 9:30-10:45am at the funeral home. Interment: Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to CHOP 3401 Civic Center Blvd Philadelphia, PA 19104 Online condolences and memories may be placed on www.lyonsfs.com
