Worked with Mr. cupples at the Navy Yard. I was a young person at that time and Mr. cupples was respected. He treated me fairly as a young foreman on second shift and provided guidance as to what to expect and what was acceptable Good man who was able to pen a great letter when it was needed. Guys like him are are few and far in between. God bless. Fair winds and a following sea , Mr.Cupples.

William Lawrence Cupples was a good man. A holy man. He was a man that put his faith in action everyday. Loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend he set an example for all of us.

Bill was Born and raised in West Philadelphia. He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic Boys High school - something he was proud of and I can understand why. He was a vetern of the US Army and retired from the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as a General Foreman with over 36 years of service.

A successful leader to the end.

I will miss his sense of humor and fatherly advice. Like his written instructions to us titled When I die. Number 1 - " Make sure I'm dead and not just sleeping. Number 11 - "This is no big deal it happens to everybody. - God Bless Us".

He was a blessing to all of us. Rest in peace William Lawrence Cupples.
