Stephen Robert Thomas, 69, passed away at home, Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born January 23, 1951 in Columbus, to the late George R. and Mary Anne (Jones) Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was a graduate of The Ohio State University, receiving a Bachelors of Science. He was known for being a man to help everyone he could. He was a farmer, a firefighter with Radnor Fire Department, an advisor for the Radnor Country Kids 4-H Club, an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor for JVS North (Delaware Area Career Center), High Point Career Center, and Buckeye Valley High School. Stephen was also a State FFA recipient (as a student). During his time at Buckeye Valley, Stephen was also a school bus driver. After retirement he went on to be a substitute teacher for all of Delaware County. In his lifetime he also worked with Massey-Ferguson Corporate, The Delaware Railroad Safety Taskforce, Operation Lifesaver, and was on the board for Orchard Isle Condominiums in Port Clinton.

He was proud to work in the Radnor Welsh Community and to participate in the Radnor Memorial Day Festivities and parades. In his free time, Stephen loved to play games with his grandchildren, collect antique tractors and trains, building and flying model rockets and drones, and building model cars. He also loved working with wood and watching the stars.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny, as well as his parents.

He married Connie Jean Black, daughter of Paul (deceased) & Janet (Way) Black on September 4, 1971, and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Anthony) Imbody, two sons, Stephen Andrew Thomas and Robert Charles (Andrea) Thomas. Also, eight grandchildren: Michael and Zachary Imbody; Emma and Erika Thomas; Danielle & Tiffany Thomas; Caleb and Angel Loughary; two sisters, Laura Ann (Bruce) Bauchmire and Sally (Tom) Dubanowich; one aunt, Mary Lou (Thomas) Liprie; and many beloved nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter Street, Delaware, OH 43015. Graveside service to begin at roughly 11:30 a.m. at Radnor Cemetery on Friday, January 22, 2021. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Delaware Co. My deepest condolences to Steve's family. I worked with Steve for the Delaware Railroad Safety Task Force and Operation Lifesaver. Steve was very knowledgeable, always ready to volunteer and always had a smile on his face,
