Col. J. Don Pantalone

Salisbury - Col. J. Don Pantalone, 88, of Salisbury, passed on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the home of his son, Stephen and his family. Born on April 29, 1932 in Farmington, WV, he was the son of the late Rocco and the late Dora Pantalone.

Don proudly and faithfully served his country in the US Army and retired after 30 years of service as a full bird Colonel. After his retirement he fell in love and purchased a historical home in Salisbury and spent many years restoring it. Don also had a love for family and restoring old Ford tractors. He spent many days on his son's farm planting gardens and working in the vineyard.

He was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in both Annapolis and Salisbury.

Don is survived by his son, Stephen Pantalone and his wife, JoAnn of Salisbury and their children, Kristen Pantalone, Justin Pantalone and his wife, Chelsea and Jordan Pantalone, Sarah Waggoner and Matthew Waggoner; a daughter, Melissa Pantalone of Annapolis and her children, Colette Nortman, Jolie Nortman; a brother Eugene Pantalone of Virginia; a sister Annie Coleman and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Pantalone who passed away in 2007 after 49 years of marriage; siblings, Victor, Albert, Margaret and Mary and a daughter in law Nancy Pantalone in 2016.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11 am St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9-10 am at Holloway Funeral Home, in Salisbury. Interment will take place at Springhill Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary at PO Box 1755, Salisbury, MD 21802 or Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
