Joyce Lowe

Vero Beach - Joyce Lowe (formerly Parsons), 90, passed away on February 12, 2021, after long-term confinement in an assisted living facility. She was a long-term resident of Snow Hill, and later, Salisbury. She was a telephone operator in Snow Hill for a number of years, taught Sunday school at Bates Memorial Church, and was a den mother for cub scouts. She was also a renowned seamstress in the Salisbury area. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gertie Disharoon, her late husband, Reese Lowe, and a son, Garry Parsons. She is survived by two sons, Michael Parsons of Tampa, FL, and Steve Parsons of Salisbury, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Scott of Snow Hill. Additionally, she leaves behind some special lifetime friends, Andrea Evans of Millsboro, DE, and Paul and Norma Lee Hitchens of Ocean View, DE. A graveside service will be held at Eleven O'clock on Tuesday, February 23rd at the Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
