So sorry to learn of Tommy's passing. We have been good friends since 1947 when my family moved to Pittsville. My brother Johnny (Foot) Ratcliffe and Tommy were best friends. They joined the Navy and served at the same time and often were stationed near each other. Our birthdays are 20 days apart so we celebrated them together many times. He, Foot and my brother-in-law Bill Littleton were best buddies and all 3 in the Navy at the same time so whenever they were on leave they would be at my house most of the time. My daughter, Edie was the apple of their eye and she loved having Uncle Foot,, Uncle Tommy and Uncle Bill taking her places and letting her ride around with them. All 3 of them are back together again and may they all rest in peace.
