Gino, Maria & Family - I already wrote this, however not sure if I did it correctly so I am attempting it again. I am sorry if it is already in the Guest Book but I'm so filled with emotion, not even sure what I am doing right now!! I received a call from Kay Cooper a little while ago and I am absolutely beside myself! I still cannot process what she told me about the tragic loss of Carrie. I cannot even comprehend all of this.

I was in Cleveland visiting my son and had no idea about this horrific tragedy! I know there are no words to comfort or take away the pain you are going through and will continue to go through for the rest of your lives. No one should ever have to experience the pain all of you are going through right now.

I know nothing or no one can help you through this horrendous loss! Time will never take away the void your beautiful daughter has left, it will only allow you to cope better one day.

Carrie was so special in so many ways! I loved whenever she was riding her bike and stopped by the house to visit during the good old days. She lit up Judy Ann Drive with her smile and her infectious personality, I will always cherish the time we spent together whenever I saw her in the neighborhood.
Heaven has gained another beautiful angel but way too soon!

I am absolutely devastated! I cannot believe that I just heard this from Kay and had no idea. I am heart sick and I hope you know I would have been there if I had known so I could say good bye to a beautiful girl who I always loved. There are no words to express how very, very sorry I am.

Maria - it was so wonderful talking to you last week and reminiscing about the good old days when our children were young and catching up on what they were doing now that they are all grown. We expressed how blessed we were that all our children were doing so well! Never would I have thought that the next time we spoke would be under these tragic circumstances!

I realize there is nothing anyone can do or say to help you through this. Just know that I am here and lean on all that love you to help you get through this horribly difficult time. When you are ready I would like to come and see you. In the meantime I will be praying that Our Lord carries you through these difficult days ahead and lessens your pain.

With my deepest sympathy, love and prayers,

Mary E. Hughes

A beautiful person who I became close with through hockey. Carrie was a huge support for me in my fitness journey and we had often talked about training together. We often shared stories growing up all Italian and I remember one day Carrie dropped off an Italian cookie recipe at my home. Now I need to make those cookies... I will miss her and the whole community will miss her.

Two of my children had Carrie for a teacher. The time they spent with her as teacher and student is their most favorable year with BCSD. As a parent words cannot express the gratitude I have for her kindness and nurturing nature. Her family, friends and school family are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I am a passionate, long time cyclist who attended SUNY @ Brockport and have ridden bicycles in and around the area for many years. I admire your determination to ride and train on the road. Few understand the dangers we place ourselves in every time we leave the safety of our homes and work place. You are in my prayers.

I am a substitute teacher for BCSD. Whenever I subbed at Barclay, Carrie and I would talk hair. I loved her purple hair and glittering strands of silver. She encouraged me to just go for it!!! It sounds so cliche, but she was such a ray of sunshine. It was always such a delight to see her when our paths crossed. She was such a positive, upbeat person. I am so saddened by her loss. My heart goes out to her family, friends and students.
