Charlie's parents lived next door to my parents on Avery Street with a shared driveway separating our homes. I grew up with the Salvaggio family a part of my life.

At some point after Charlie returned from the Navy and made a life in Rochester, he bought a beautiful convertible automobile (cars of that era were big, flashy and quite impressive). As a young pre-teen girl, I thought he was a movie star cruising in that car. The image is as clear as if it was yesterday and its close the 60 years ago.

His mother and grandmother were like family to me. His dog was my pet too and very protective of me.

As an adult, I had occasion to reconnect with Charlie in a business setting. He was a gentlemen, and I have fond memories of him. Please accept my sympathies for your loss.
