Childhood on Sherwood Avenue was a wonderful time, and Glenn was an essential part of that. There were many happy times that I will never forget. Rest in peace, Glenn. I will see you in time. . . .

I fondly remember Glenn in our young childhood days. We were friends then and had many good times along with the many other children in the neighborhood (Glenn's mother, Rita, once tallied 65 of us kids in the one block of Sherwood Avenue where we lived.) My condolences go to his sister Rita, who I remember too, as well as his wife, children and grandchildren. Rest in peace, Glenn . . . and I will be seeing you again in time.

To The Entire Glenn Cook Family,
I just learned of Glenn's passing today (3/29/2018) through the Aquinas Landmark, and I want to extend my heartfelt condolences. Glenn and I were the closest of friends in childhood and I remember those very fun times then. As late as 2005, his mother Rita and my own mother kept in contact with each other and lived just houses away on Sherwood Avenue. Glenn was a fun-loving good person, and with his passing goes a piece of my young childhood.

Glen was a great class mate at AQ. He got A's in Latin. I got 35. Should have sat next to him and hoped for osmosis. Enjoyed playing basketball against him. A real loss and he certainly made many memories.

I am so saddened to hear the news of Glenn's passing. We grew up on Sherwood Ave. together and were best friends from grade school (St. Augustine) through college. Glenn was one of the smartest kids I knew; he took Greek and Latin at Aquinas HS and always earned A's. He had a wonderful sense of humor, too. Time spent with Glenn always involved lots of laughter. Everyone who knew him liked him and he had a large circle of friends. He was the best athlete I knew, whether it was baseball, basketball, swimming, golf, you name it. He truly lived life by the motto carpe diem. It was hard (but great fun) trying to keep up with him. He would say, Jim, we're making memories. The last time I saw him was at his wedding in 1970. I was his best man, as he had been mine two years before. I moved out of state and, sadly, we lost touch. That is one of my biggest regrets in life. I have thought of him many, many times through the years. Turns out we really were making memories. To Pat and Carol and Glenn's whole family, know that you are in my heart and in my thoughts. I love you, Glenn.

To Glenn's family,
I fondly remember Glenn from out high school days. He was warm and even with his personality. which I believe says a lot for a teenager. We had some good times. Sadly we lost touch after 1965. I know that if we did connect as recent as last year, it would have been as if we just talked the day before. Good soul. Good man.
