Jeane Edward Wesley
Canandaigua - Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 92 ½. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lillian (Pelcher) Wesley; brothers Deane Wesley and Floyd E. Wesley, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Anne Greenspoon of Kingston, Ontario, Canada; his son, Pastor Gregory Edward (Monica) Wesley, of King Ferry, NY; sister Clarinda Gifford of Yuma, Arizona; many nieces and nephews in the Wesley and Pelcher families.
Jeane was extremely proud of his military service in the Army Air Corp during WWII, United States Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict and US Army Reserves until his retirement. Equally proud was he of his career in education: 1950 Bachelor of Science from NYS Teachers College at Cortland, 1960 Master of Science in Education from SUNY Brockport, a teaching career in the Rochester NY Public School District that spanned four decades - the majority of which was spent as a health, physical education and driver education teacher at Benjamin Franklin High School, and, a number of years founding and teaching in the driver education program at Lillian's and Debbie's alma mater - Our Lady of Mercy High School. He coached several different teams throughout the years, including the 1967 boys soccer team that won the City-Catholic League championship.
Sincere thanks and appreciation go out to the staffs of all those involved with Third Memorial at Auburn Community Hospital, the Stillwater Unit at the Finger Lakes Center for Living in Auburn, the 5100 Unit at Rochester General Hospital and the Hospice Care Team at the Canandaigua Veterans Medical Center.
Friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday, June 12th, from 10:30-11:30 at Honeoye United Church of Christ, 8758 Main Street, Honeoye, NY 14471, with Jeane's memorial service at 11:30, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be early in the afternoon at St. Bridget's cemetery, East Bloomfield, NY. Please, no flowers. Memorials, per Jeane's request, should be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn is in charge of the arrangements.

Knowing Jeane was an honor. He loved our country as evidenced by his many years of service. Jeane was a humble man and a good listener who had a great sense of humor. We served together for many years. RIP, Jeane knowing that all Marines and soldiers go through the pearly gates without hesitation. Semper fi, Sir.
