Sigh . . . Another of the greats is gone. I had the enormous good fortune to have had Pat choreograph two shows that I was in at I.H.S. - "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Sugar". She corralled a group of "jocks" to dance in "Fiddler" and worked them . . . and worked them . . . AND worked them until their routines were flawless. In "Sugar", I had the opportunity to experience her talent first hand as one of the leads in the show. I am NOT a dancer. But Pat was able to actually make me LOOK like I was dancing . . . or as one of my friends in the cast told me, I move well to music. Pat gave 150% (at least) to EVERYthing she did - whether it was teaching, cheerleading, or choreography! Yes, she got upset sometimes, she yelled sometimes, and she was even a little intimidating once in a while. But she ALWAYS gave it her all and expected and demanded the same from every student she worked with. The results were AMAZING - countless cheerleading trophies, superbly crafted dance routines, and students challenging themselves and reaching heights they never thought possible. I have no doubt whatsoever that she is, at this very moment, teaching the angels some new moves and putting them through a "Walk In, Work Out"!!! Bless you, Mrs. D, Joey, Lisa, and Maia!

Still thinking about Mrs. D. So sad and such wonderful memories and conversations we had. Such an inspiration and so much impact on so many young people. Missed dearly

I remember "Mrs. D" very well; my Gym teacher at BFHS back in the 1950's....So sorry to her family for their loss of a wonderful lady.

Mrs. D's Walk In, Work Out classes were wonderful fun and a great workout. Her good health impact went far beyond the high schools and colleges, into the wider community of older adults. Like Sojourner Truth's shooting star, I can see Patricia D. dancing throughout the heavens.
