My sincere sympathy to the Maffett family. Paxton was a special man with a great sense of humor, and a mountain of talents. I was one of his adult students at R-H Continuing Ed. We had a great time in his class, and he taught me so much. He also cleaned & repaired a very large painting for us that hangs in my home today. I remember Paxton each time I see it. May your wonderful memories forever keep him near, and bring you strength. His art will live on as well. God Bless him and all of his family & friends. Wish I could have made it to his service.

The passing of my Dad is an incredible loss to our family and the community. He was such a mild, kind, gentle soul with a great sense of humor and the ability to enjoy life to the fullest. A special thanks to Gail for her abundant love and care, and her significance in making him so happy for the past 29 years. Such peace comes from knowing he is in a better place and in the loving arms of our Lord. I love you Dad. Until we meet again... Bon Bon.

Gail, A great loss to the art community. Paxton was a great friend and mentor. I recall him saving a painting I was doing by adding acrylics. Genius!
My best to you and the family.

Gail, Jim and I are so sorry for your loss. Your love for Paxton was so obvious. I can see the two of you in your golf cart. Paxton always had a ready smile and a hand shake. You were so patient and caring of Paxton. He was blessed to have you as his wife and I know you feel blessed to have shared his life with you. May the Lord give you strength and hope to help you now.
