I met Dick when I was 12 years old on Lehigh Avenue in Rochester. He was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. I’m so glad I ran into him again several years ago and was able to reconnect. I’m so sorry I didn’t get to speak to him before he passed. I’m going to miss him.

Richard was one of the kindest, most real people I’ve met. He had an infectious smile and I am better for knowing him. RIP.

I first met Richard in 1962 at Mallory's delicatessen, the 19th ward gathering place. After our military service we were roofing partners for many years. Richard was soft hearted, and always willing to help others out anytime. There are a lot of good memories I will always think about. We always considered ourselves brothers forever. He will be sadly missed. Tom Wilson

Goodwin I will miss your hugs, Irish goodbyes and our conversations about the children ("Don't call them kids. Kids are goats"). Thank you for your wisdom. The world has lost a true gentleman.
