I was informed of Bob's passing the other evening. I am sorry this is a late sympathy message but I thank Bob for his service and his membership in the American Legion.

Laurie: I never met you, but on the occasions I had a chance to speak with Bob after your marriage he spoke so well of you. It was clear that he loved you very much and that he was so so happy in his life with you.
Bob and I were roommates at Lycoming for 3 years. He and my brother Bill graduated from highschool together, and Bob and I decided to room together after he finished his time in the navy and I transferred to Lycoming. We were buddies, fraternity brothers, football players and friends-- very good friends-- though I believe that during our senior year Bob was a much better friend to me than I was to him. That was Bob.
Anyway, we did not see much of each other after graduation--once at homecoming and once by chance at a Sheetz store in Hollidaysburg. I lost his address and did try to find him online but did not succeed.
Bob was one of the best people I have ever known, and if you knew me you would know I reserve that description to a very few.
Please accept my condolences, and know that I will always remember Bob with friendship, gratitude and respect.
Sincerely,
Richard (Dick) Wilt

We extend our sympathies to Pete and Alana and the family. From the way you talked about him here at Sarah's' Guest House, we knew that he was a special guy. We are hoping that you will carry peace and love and happy memories of your dad in your heart. Our very best wishes to you all. XO Jen, Susie, Kim and all.
